CONDXLIVE – live HF propagation for contesters
CONDXLIVE is a live HF propagation overview for contesters: a single full screen in dark mode that, for your locator, shows which band and which direction is worth working right now and over the next 48 hours. It covers the 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 m bands.
Try it at condxlive.rajlab.cz – enter your callsign, complete the settings on your own station page and press Activate 48 h. The interface is available in 11 languages and the project is still in beta.

Why I built it
I wanted one screen where a glance during a contest tells me which band is best for RUN and which for S&P, where to point the antenna, what happens in the next hours and what the Sun and the magnetosphere are doing. It was built for one station, IH9/OK1M in CQ WW DX SSB 2026 (SO All Band, 100 W). It now runs as a service for any number of stations – one server collects the data once and serves all the station pages.
How it works
No single source answers the question "where should I transmit", so CONDXLIVE combines three layers:
- Prediction – VOACAP from your QTH to 8 target regions, with the current effective SSN and your station parameters. A simple MUF, absorption and link-budget model corrected by live ionosondes serves as a fallback.
- Space weather – Kp, Bz, solar wind, X-ray class, protons, D-RAP absorption and aurora on the path, mostly from NOAA SWPC.
- Live evidence – spots from RBN, PSKReporter, WSPR and the DX cluster.
The result is a score from 0 to 100 for every band and region, now and for every hour of the next 48 hours. At the current moment the live spots dominate and the prediction fills the gaps; for the forecast it is the other way round.
What you see
- A band × region table with the score and state of each path
- Advice such as which band to RUN, which to use for S&P and the antenna azimuth
- A 48-hour forecast and an hourly contest plan
- Alerts for flares, Kp jumps and band openings or closings
- A map with the grey line, MUF and live spots
- A live scoreboard of your category from contestonlinescore.com
The dashboard is designed for a fullscreen display with a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio. Phones and narrow windows are not a target.
